Making of the Mob: Chicago

Capone gets a taste of the underworld in Brooklyn with Johnny Torrio. Reuniting in Chicago, they start bootlegging and anger local Irish gangsters.

A new mayor forces Torrio and Capone outside Chicago to nearby Cicero. There, Capone's brother Frank fixes an election, placing himself in jeopardy.

A betrayal destroys peace in Chicago, and Torrio and Capone seek revenge against the Irish gangs. The "Beer Wars" make Capone Chicago's top gangster.

Capone uses the St. Valentine's Day Massacre to assert his power over his enemies. President Hoover takes notice, and Eliot Ness takes on Capone.

Capone begins to spiral out of control. His public antics attract the attention of the U.S. government, which is determined to bring him down. But instead of slowing down his operations, Capone doubles down. In the end, Capone's ego and arrogance land him in jail, threatening the future of his family, and his business.

While he's away in prison, Al Capone has put his top lieutenants - Nitti, Ricca and Accardo - in charge of running his vast empire at a time when it's in great peril. After a money-making plan by Nitti backfires, an unlikely leader emerges and takes the reins - Capone's former bodyguard and chief enforcer, Joe Accardo.

With money flowing in from the Policy racket in Chicago, new leader Joe Accardo now wants to take over Las Vegas. He puts his rising star, Sam Giancana, in charge of the new venture. But it's not long before Giancana's flashy ways jeopardize everything when he attracts the attention of a young attorney - Robert F. Kennedy.

With the pressure from the Feds increasing on the Outfit, Accardo realizes that to save the empire he built with Capone and cash out, he has to get rid of Giancana. Accardo ends his reign as the most successful gangster of all time.
