Woolly & Tig

Tig goes on a holiday to another country. When she arrives it is very hot and everything is new and different. Woolly helps her adjust and to embrace all the excitement and differences that a holiday has to offer.

Tig discovers what Halloween is at her first Halloween party. Tig decides to dress up as a bobble bug monster for the party but Tig's friend Angel arrives as a monster bobble bug monster too, Tig is not pleased. Woolly helps Tig appreciate that Angel copying her is a big compliment.

Tig has had a wonderful year of summer, her birthday, snowballs and Christmas. After Christmas, Tig goes to stay with her Granny. One morning Mummy says 'Today is Hogmanay, the last day of the year.' Tig is sad there are no more days of the year left but Woolly explains that tomorrow will be the first day of a brand new year when she can have summer and snowballs and Christmas all over again.

It is the last day of the harvest and Tig visits her friend Duncan's farm. They watch as the big combine, harvests the last field of oats. They then sit down for a harvest supper. There is plenty of farm produce and everyone is given a corn dolly.

Tig loves going to see plays. Tig wants to be in a play herself and to dress up. Tig's friend Tam is doing a musical play of the 'Elves and the Shoemaker' and he asks Tig to be an Elf. On the day of the show Tig refuses to go on stage. She doesn't recognise Tam dressed as the shoemaker.

Tig is going to a new big school. There is much excitement and a few small worries too. Finding the toilet, putting shoes on the wrong way round, and even losing Woolly. Woolly helps Tig 'share and tell her worries' so that she is free to enjoy her fun filled days.

Tig visits her Grandad for Christmas. On Christmas Eve Tig can 't sleep. Tig worries that there is no snow for Santa 's sleigh, Grandad 's house has no chimney, and how will Santa know she is staying with Grandad.
