Resolve DRM Errors 3305 & 3321

If the Prime Video web player displays DRM error 3305 or 3321, try switching to a web browser that supports our HTML5 video player.

This error can occur when you're using Flash player to stream Prime Video from your computer's web browser.

To watch Prime Video on your computer, we recommend using our HTML5 video player. The HTML5 video player provides the best playback performance and less buffering. It also supports Auto Play and 1080p High Definition.

The HTML5 player is available on the following browsers:

  • Chrome (latest version)
  • Firefox (latest version)
  • Internet Explorer (version 11 or newer)
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari (version 5 or newer)
  • Opera (version 31 or newer)

The HTML5 player loads automatically--just open PrimeVideo.com from one of these supported browsers and try watching your video again.

If you're having trouble with playback on one of these browsers, see the sections below for additional resolution steps to try.

Tip: If you still need help after trying the steps below, Contact Us.

HTML5 on Chrome

If you're still seeing an error using Chrome, try updating to the latest version of Chrome to make sure your browser is accessing the HTML5 player:

  1. Open the Chrome Menu Menu Button
and select About. The browser will then check for updates.
  2. If a Relaunch button is available, click it to update Chrome.
  3. Close all tabs, then close and reopen Chrome.
  4. Retry your video.

You may also need to enable or install the Content Decryption Module for Chrome.

Tip: Prime Video requires your browser to provide this component. It may be missing if you recently installed Chrome for the first time. The Content Decryption Module can take up to 10 minutes to fully download.
To enable:
  1. Enter chrome://plugins in your browser's address bar.
  2. Look for the Widevine Content Decryption Module.
  3. If the component is disabled, click Enable.

If you don't see the Widevide Content Decryption Module listed, here's how you can install it:
  1. Enter chrome://components in your browser's address bar.
  2. Expand WidevineCdm.
  3. Click Check for Updates. Your browser then installs the latest version.

After you've verified that the Content Decryption Module is installed and enabled, return toPrimeVideo.com and try playing your video again.

HTML5 on Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge

If you’re still seeing an error when using Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge, try clearing your cached browser files to make sure you're accessing the HTML5 player and not Flash:

  1. Click the Settings (gear icon) in your browser window.
  2. Select Safety.
  3. Click Delete Browsing History, and select Cached images and temporary Internet files from the list of options.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.
