Adam Daniel Mezei

Adam Daniel Mezei is a Canadian actor, producer, and multilingual performer based in Toronto, Ontario. Born in Toronto, Mezei graduated from McGill University in Montreal before pursuing careers in journalism, writing, and film production. He began his on-screen acting career in 2012 with a role in the independent feature The Inner District, adapted from one of his award-winning short stories. After transitioning to full-time acting in 2017, Mezei appeared in a variety of film and television productions, earning recognition for his work in period dramas, international productions, and character-driven independent films. In 2020, he portrayed Klaus von Lettow-Vorbeck in the World War I feature Battle for the Western Front (2022), a performance that earned multiple Best Supporting Actor awards on the festival circuit. In 2025, Mezei starred as The Captor in Jesse Pomeroy's psychological thriller Play Along (2024), appearing opposite Erin Pitt. His performance earned a Best Actor award, while the film received multiple Best Feature honors at international film festivals. In addition to acting, Mezei serves as a producer and executive producer through his Toronto-based production company, Razzmatazz of Reel. His work has taken him throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and North America. Mezei is fluent in English and conversant in French, German, Spanish, Czech, Slovak, and Italian. He is a member of ACTRA and holds both Canadian and Slovak (European Union) citizenship.
