Adam Michael Rowe

Adam grew up in quiet Griswold Connecticut. Once a very shy little boy, Adam discovered theater in middle school and it really helped him come out of his shell. By the time he reached high school, acting became Adam's passion and he decided that was what he was going to do with his life. He appeared in every play and musical he could, both in school and in community theater. Unable to afford college, Adam continued to appear in community theater while he worked after graduating. In that time, Adam began to explore the world of voice acting, being a lifelong lover of animation and video games. Why only act on stage? Why not act in the sort of media he loved? And so Adam joined an online voice acting community and cut his teeth on audio dramas and indie animations. He would read literature and listen to podcasts from the greats, absorbing any knowledge he could. Around that time he also elected to learn a trade, to support himself while he pursued his passion. Then Adam hit a major setback. Shortly after graduating from trade school, Adam would receive an injury that would severely affect his lower back. While physical therapy helped him become largely functional again, he would be unable to practice his trade without pain, and had to give it up. This took a toll on his mental health, and for a while, Adam thought any chance at ever acting professionally was long gone. But friends that Adam made in his early voice acting days went on to make names for themselves in the industry and would often forward him opportunities. He would audition for fun but never expected anything to come out of it. Then, in the same week in 2017, Adam learned he was cast in Funimation's dub of Gosick and Media Blasters' dub of World War Blue. While his acting skills were rusty, Adam would fly to Texas and take a train to New Jersey to record the projects. Being in the booth changed him. It reignited his passion for acting and Adam decided that he could not go back to life as it was. Adam would spend the next several years training, saving and going to therapy for his mental health. He would also marry the love of his life who was an amazing support system for him. In 2020, they would move to Texas together so Adam could take his acting to the next level. Shortly after arriving, Adam would make a big splash by starring in The Millionaire Detective: Balance Unlimited as Daisuke Kambe, his first lead role. These days, Adam acts professionally for studios in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and remotely. He is SAG-Eligible and has lent his voice to American animation, Japanese anime, Chinese donghua, video games, and live action ADR. His voice has appeared on Crunchyroll, Cartoon Network, Disney +, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox consoles. Most recently, he celebrated two theatrical releases. When not working, Adam is a jolly, laid back sort who loves to play video games, tabletop role playing games, paint miniatures, cook and eat delicious food, and spend time with his wife and their three cats. While still affected by his injury, Adam is in much better health now and loves to walk, strength train, and box.
