Alaya F

Alaya F (born Aalia Furniturewalla) started her career in 2020 with the coming of age comedy-drama film Jawaani Jaaneman (2020) for which she won the prestigious Filmfare Award for the Best Female Debut and received extremely positive reviews. Since her debut, her notable work includes Freddy (2022) where she starred opposite Kartik Aaryan and Srikanth (2024) with Rajkummar Rao. Her mother Pooja Bedi is an Indian actress, TV host and entrepreneur and her father, Farhan Furniturewalla is a businessman. Her grandparents are late classical dancer Protima Bedi and actor Kabir Bedi. Alaya studied at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai. She went on to pursue Filmmaking at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts but later switched to New York Film Academy, where she graduated with a diploma in Acting. She has also trained in fine art, kathak, contemporary dance, mixed martial arts and is also an avid practitioner of Yoga. Apart from films, Alaya has a strong social media presence, commanding a highly engaged digital audience. She been the face of many prestigious brands such as Lenskart, Nykaa Fashion, Garnier, Kerastase and Tanishq. And she has been on the cover of numerous leading magazines, including Elle, Cosmo and Grazia.
