Alex Noyer

Alex Noyer

Director, Producer, Writer

Raised in a Finnish & French art and media family, Paris-born Alex Noyer, studied advertising in London where, in 2004, he founded You Know, an innovative creative production agency delivering content for major brands such as L'Oreal, Nokia, Durex and Jaegermeister. His career took him from advertising to documentaries. His first focus was the art world he grew up in. From a short film delving into the mind of Julian Schnabel, Noyer went on to write and produce stories like his 2011 feature film "New York Influence City" or his art news program "Art Market Review", that aired worldwide on Bloomberg. He ventured also into music stories, conceptualizing and producing the widely acclaimed film "808", about the legendary TR808 drum machine, featuring the likes of Phil Collins, The Beastie Boys, Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Questlove, Rick Rubin and more. Noyer produced and executive produced 808 in association with Atlantic Records. The film became the first music documentary to be released on Apple Music. With 20 years of storytelling experience and a lifelong passion for genre films, Noyer set out to direct innovative thrillers and horror films, such as his award-winning and genre-bending short film "Conductor" and its acclaimed feature adaptation, "Sound Of Violence". The latter premiered at SXSW 2021 and was broadly seen as one of the fest's hits.
