Andra Day

Singer and actress Andra Day had her on-screen break on The Fashion Fund, during which she went as Chromat's date to the awards show. Founded by the legendary Anna Wintour, The Fashion Fund is a documentary-style TV show featuring behind-the-scenes action from the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the Vogue Competition for young designers. Though what Ms. Day is most notably known for is her breathlessly beautiful smash hit song "Rise Up," which has been featured in various productions, as well as her other wonderfully composed and performed songs. A rich, soulful, and smoky tone, and seemingly effortless vocal control rises up Andra Day to the forefront of one's memory, where she will surely stay for decades to come. As well, Andra starred as Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021), a performance for which she won a Golden Globe and received an Academy Award nomination.
