Italian-American actor and filmmaker Andy Davoli has built a career defined by intensity, wit, and a distinctive screen presence. Discovered by filmmaker James Gray, Davoli made his studio debut opposite Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, and Charlize Theron in Miramax’s The Yards. He soon followed with Martin Scorsese’s Bringing Out the Dead and appeared opposite Al Pacino in People I Know. His breakout role came as Scarpa in New Line Cinema’s Knockaround Guys, starring alongside Vin Diesel, Barry Pepper, and John Malkovich. On television, Davoli portrayed Dino Zerilli on HBO’s The Sopranos, a recurring role created by David Chase. His featured episode, "Amour Fou," culminated in one of the series’ most explosive gunfights and earned James Gandolfini an Emmy Award. The performance established Davoli as a formidable presence in prestige television. He continued his film work with the Russo Brothers, playing ensemble lead Basil in Welcome to Collinwood opposite Sam Rockwell, George Clooney, and Gabrielle Union. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and filmmaker David Mamet later cast Davoli opposite Val Kilmer in Spartan. Davoli’s television credits include 24, CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, The Unit, Burn Notice, and Lucifer. On HBO’s Golden Globe-nominated Warm Springs, he portrayed Jake Perini, a wheelchair-bound polio survivor opposite Kenneth Branagh and Cynthia Nixon. His work in fashion includes a Dolce & Gabbana campaign with Gisele Bündchen, photographed by Steven Meisel. In the interactive space, Davoli has contributed voice and performance capture to major video game titles including Rockstar Games’ L.A. Noire, Medal of Honor, and Mafia III: Stones Unturned. Recent work includes The Break-Up Pill, directed by Tom Arnold, and a multi-film arc as news anchor Elijah Enoch in Stiletto, If It Bleeds, and Sweetest Day, in which the character provides sharp commentary and grounded tension amid escalating chaos. Davoli has evolved into a creator and producer. He writes, produces, and stars in LAZ, a prestige Italian-American sports drama exploring legacy, identity, faith, and second chances within a powerful family dynasty. (As of 2026), the project is in development, with plans to shoot in 2026. He is also the creator of Davoli Diaries, a cinematic micro-series blending humor, faith, and personal mythology. Davoli is returning to the stage, where his love of live performance first began.
