Benjamin von Schmitt was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He trained at the Piven Theatre Workshop in Chicago along with the Howard Fine Acting Studio and Paul Kampf Studios in Los Angeles. He is currently developing original narrative projects as a writer and filmmaker.
