Bertrand-Xavier Corbi had been captivated by cinema since his childhood in Paris, often skipping class to catch the latest theatrical releases in the nearby theaters. Although studying international trade at university, he chose his passion and committed himself to a career in cinema. He got his start at home, working in international film festivals and production companies, where his fluency in English, Spanish and German proved invaluable. That behind-the-scenes foundation served him well when he stepped in front of the camera. After relocating to Los Angeles in the late 2000s, Bertrand-Xavier built a diverse on-screen résumé across short films, web series, commercials and television. A turning point came in 2016 when the legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola cast him as Alexander Graham Bell in the live cinema project Distant Vision. That same year he co-starred in the Western Hickok (2017) alongside Luke Hemsworth, Kris Kristofferson and Bruce Dern. Standing 6'6" and 230 pounds with a signature red beard, his commanding physical presence landed him roles ranging from bikers, Lumberjacks, inmates, Vikings even an Orc for a Netflix movie to a witch hunter's henchman on the popular Disney kid’s show Bunk'd (2018). In 2017, that presence earned him the role of Jacques - a wisecracking French special forces explosives expert - in the Rogue Warfare trilogy (2019), starring alongside Stephen Lang, Will Yun Lee, Chris Mulkey and Fernando Chien. He crossed paths again with Timothy Woodward Jr. who cast him for his western The Outsider (2019) with Sean Patrick Flanery, Jon Foo, Trace Adkins and Kaiwi Lyman. After returning to his homeland in 2020, and building upon his experiences in Hollywood, his talent spread beyond the borders of his native France. Bertrand-Xavier expanded his career throughout Europe, appearing in a variety of TV series, feature and short films as well as commercials in other countries. His most prominent performance came through legendary filmmaker Luc Besson’s retelling of the classic gothic horror tale of Dracula, which was released in 2025. He played the titular character’s righthand man, Captain Targol, sharing the screen with lead actor Caleb Landry Jones. The stellar cast of this film also includes such prominent actors as Christoph Waltz, Zoe Bleu, Guillaume de Tonquedec, Matilda de Angelis and Ewens Abid. That same year, Bertrand-Xavier wrapped filming on an ambitious French sci-fi film directed by Olivier Boillot titled "Juste Après l'aube" with Charlie Anson, Aissa Maiga and Mehmet Kurtulus; as well as a Polish TV series for Netflix and a German film for Amazon Prime - which are to be released in 2026.
