Bill's early career focused on theatre where he acted in over 30 plays in the Chicago area. In the 90s he co-founded the Pendulum Theatre Company where he directed and produced several plays. Bill's direction of Nagle Jackson's "The Quick-Change Room" was selected by the Chicago Tribune as one of the top 5 Chicago theatre moments of 1998. Later, Bill switched his focus to filmmaking, especially acting and screenwriting. One of his highlights was the short film "Bob and Edgar" which he wrote/directed and acted in. For it, he was awarded Best Actor from the Twister Alley Film Festival, Best Comedy Short from the Manhattan Film Festival, and Audience Choice Award from the Canton Film Festival. Bill has written four unproduced feature screenplays. His most recent is "Bob's Best Friends" which has earned him Grand Prize Winner from the First Frame International Film Festival (2023), Best Drama Screenplay from Southern California Film Festival (2023), and Screenplay of the Year from the Southern California Film Festival (2023).
