Charles Williams

Charles Williams is an acclaimed Australian filmmaker; winner more than 60 international awards including Cannes Film Festival's Short Film Palme d'Or. Charles grew up in a remote country town in northern Victoria, Australia. He began making short films at an early age and was picking up major awards while still in his teens. Since then his films have gone on to screen at more than 200 of the world's most prestigious festivals including Cannes, TIFF, Clermont-Ferrand, Sydney, Telluride, MIFF, Hong Kong, Rotterdam, Busan, SXSW and have sold globally including to the Criterion Collection. He has also been selected as part of TIFF's Filmmaker Lab, the Golden Globes HFPA Filmmaker Residency and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences®. Charles' debut feature film, INSIDE starring Guy Pearce, Cosmo Jarvis, Vincent Miller, Tammy Macintosh and Toby Wallace will be theatrically released in early 2025.
