Craig Rainey was born in San Angelo, Texas, and lives in Austin. He is the eldest of four children. Son of an army NCO, he traveled the world as his family moved from duty station to duty station. Although trained in drama and comedy, Craig tends to play the heavy in most roles. He studied drama under Actor Post Guru Coach John Lansch. He studied comedy under Lauri Guzda. He has played the lead and principal roles in numerous indie films including The Water's Edge (2006), Portrait in Sepia Tone (2008), The Innocence Saga Series 1,2,3,5,6,10 (2008-2009), Bass Reeves (2010), The Return of Johnny V (2011), VOSOT (2012), Dani the Ranch Hand (2012), Mahogany Sunrise (2014), The Benders (2014), The Oldest Posse (2023). Craig Rainey is a published fiction writer, award-winning screenwriter for Stolen Valor (2023), award-winning actor - Best Actor / Bass and Belle Film Festival for The Oldest Posse (2023), producer, and part-time stuntman Bass Reeves (2010).
