Daniela Barbosa

Daniela Barbosa was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and moved to Ontario, Canada at a young age with her family. It was during her time at a Catholic arts school that her passion for the arts truly began to flourish. Initially drawn to art history, Daniela soon discovered the world of performing arts, where a perceptive teacher encouraged her to pursue acting classes outside of school. This led her to Armstrong Acting Studios in Toronto, where she received her first formal training in audition technique and on-set etiquette. Recognising her natural talent, renowned acting coach Dean Armstrong helped her secure agency representation. Over the following years, Daniela honed her craft, studying Meisner technique, scene study and on-camera performance under some of the most respected mentors in Toronto and Los Angeles. Her journey later brought her to Australia, where she immersed herself in a vibrant theatre community that offered invaluable guidance and inspiration. There, her love for the stage deepened through performances in works by Noël Coward, Oscar Wilde, and William Shakespeare. Embracing the discipline and versatility required for live performance, Daniela continues to build a career grounded in passion, artistry, and dedication. She is committed to growing into the kind of actor she is proud to be - one who honours both the craft and the storytelling tradition she so deeply loves.
