David Reed

David is a writer, actor and comedian. He is best known for co-writing and starring in the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical 'Sherlock Holmes and The 12 Days of Christmas' and BBC sitcom 'Daddy Issues' opposite David Morrisey and Aimee Lou Wood. He started his career with multi-award winning sketch trio The Penny Dreadfuls, who performed five stage shows at the Edinburgh Festival receiving over thirty five-star reviews. They quickly found their home on BBC Radio 4 with their own series, The Brothers Faversham, followed by a run of ten radio plays written by David. David is a talented improviser who is regularly seen at The Comedy Store in London alongside Paul Merton and the legendary Comedy Store Players. He's performed in West End hit shows Austentatious: an Improvised Jane Austen Novel and the Olivier Award winning Showstopper!: The Improvised Musical.
