Dean Redman is a well-known, accomplished, award-winning actor with over 100 film, television, and voice acting credits. He is best known for his strong performances in major Hollywood Blockbusters such as "Warcraft" (2016), where he played two major supporting roles, and for his aggressive performance in 20th Century Fox's Oscar-nominated epic "War For The Planet Of The Apes" (2017) alongside Woody Harrelson and Andy Serkis. Redman has an extensive background in martial arts, weapons, firearms and stunts, all of which prepared him for these challenging roles. Recently, Dean guest-starred as Marquís Rawlins in the pilot episode of the new CBS/CTV series "Boston Blue" (2025) starring Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green. Dean plays the coveted unstoppable boxing champion Archie Moore, a formidable former heavyweight boxing champion who owns a boxing camp in a recurring role on Amazon Studios' "The Greatest." The long-anticipated authorized biopic TV Series that chronicles boxer Muhammad Ali's life, career highs/lows, triumphs/struggles in/out of the ring, is to be released in 2026. The series depicts defining moments that shaped the boxing legend's iconic status. Dean has appeared in a multitude of network television series, such as "Dark Angel"(2002), "Stargate SG1"(2002-2005) "The X-Files"(2016), "Smallville"(2007-2010), "Tron Legacy"(2010), "Superman and Lois"(2023-2024) the Number One Netflix series "Virgin River" (2023) plus notable Hallmark and Lifetime movies "The Yoga Teacher Killer"(2024), V.C. Andrews four-part mini series "Dawn"(2023) and "Sugarplummed."(2024). He is also well known for his distinctive, deep, smooth, and smoky voice, which he has lent to Marvel's "Nick Fury" in "The Ultimate Wolverine Versus Hulk" series, "Iron Man Armored Adventures", Unagami in the Lego Series "Ninjago", Dutch in the anime series "Black Lagoon" (2006-2011) the villain General Baran in "Dragon Quest"(2020-2022) and a long list of animated series over the years. Dean has an extensive background in hosting and headlining film, television, and animation conventions, including the Anime Revolution (2014-2017) and the Vancouver International Black Film Festival (2014-2015), with upcoming appearances. Passionate about all aspects of the entertainment industry, Dean has recently added producing and directing to his extensive resume. Dean Redman was born in Birmingham, England, to Jamaican parents and currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia.
