Emily Mutimer is an award-winning Australian actress, singer-songwriter, and screenwriter with a growing international presence. Best known for her breakout role as Astrid in the global LGBTQ+ series Flunk (available on Amazon, Tubi and Vimeo), Emily helped propel the show to over 194 million views and 480,000 subscribers. She also stars in the series' spin-off feature films, After School and The Sleepover, the latter becoming a Top 10 LGBTQ+ film on Tubi. In 2023-2024, Emily landed two lead roles in Australian pilot series: Maude in Bunchie (directed by John Orcsik) and Eliza in Bongrats, which premiered to a sold-out 250-seat theatre in Melbourne. She is currently filming the U.S indie feature People & Things in the lead role of Annie, and appears as series regular Cynthia in Queens of the Desert (Diversity Pictures & Rockwell Media Partners), as well as Sonia in the U.S pilot It's Not How It Sounds (JDB Productions). A multi-hyphenate creative, Emily wrote, produced, and starred in the short comedy-drama On the Seventh Day I Was Late to Spin Class, which earned her Best Actress and Best Comedy at the LOs Angeles Independent Short Awards (2025). Emily is also an emerging indie-pop artist, currently recording original music inspired by the cinematic stylings of Lana Del Rey and the intimate lyricism of Gracie Abrams.
