A Salvadoran actor born in Miami and raised in El Salvador, Gerardo brings depth and nuance to every role he inhabits. He previously starred as the male lead in Swimming With Sharks, opposite Diane Kruger and Kiernan Shipka, and made a strong impression on Netflix's Pulse as Officer Sánchez. Other notable television credits include series regular roles on FOX's Next and ABC's National Parks, a recurring turn as the hotshot E.R. doctor on CBS's Good Sam, and a memorable arc as a formidable antagonist opposite Viola Davis in ABC's How to Get Away With Murder. He also appeared in Devil in Ohio as Detective Lopez during its run as Netflix's #1 streaming show. Gerardo began his acting career in 2005 with a lead role on NBC's daytime series Passions. Before acting, he was an accomplished equestrian who represented El Salvador in the Central American Games. He attended the American School in El Salvador and earned a finance degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Gerardo is fluent in Spanish and English.
