Guilherme Filipe

Guilherme Filipe was raised in LIsbon, Portugal. His family encouraged his dream and he made his first appearence on stage at the age of 14 in a portuguese school production of Midsummer Night's Dream. He studied English and German language and literature at the Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa. He decided then to study drama and stage direction at the Conservatório Nacional (National drama school) in Lisbon. In 1984 he started his carreer at the Teatro Nacional (National Theatre). In 1986 he created his own comedy company, called "Persona", where he acted and directed several plays till 1991. Apart from theatre, cinema and television, he works regularly for Radio Difusão Portuguesa in broadcasted plays
