Hazel Doupe

Screen International "Star of Tomorrow" and award-winning Irish actress plays the key role of "Marian Price", a former provisional IRA member, in the much acclaimed Disney FX limited series Say Nothing. Hazel won the 2025 IFTA award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her performance. Hazel leads as the unflinching and charismatic "Kathleen" in Eva Birthistle's 2024 directorial debut film Kathleen is Here, which received 7 IFTA nominations in 2025, including the Lead Actress in Film category. Hotpress said she was "phenomenal in the role, bringing a complex blend of volatility and childlike innocence" and the Business Post said "Doupe is Extraordinary". Also in 2024, Doupe starred in AMC's fantasy drama Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale, playing the lead teen role of "Harper Fenn." The Hollywood Reporter praised her performance, noting she "imbues her character with an adolescent brattiness that's equal parts endearing and frustrating." Season 2 is in post production. Doupe leads Kate Dolan's 2021 psychological horror You Are Not My Mother as the quiet and introspective "Char." JOE.ie cited the film as "arguably the greatest Irish Horror movie ever made" and Screen Daily described it as being "driven by first-rate performances...in particular, rising star Doupe." Further notable credits include lead role in the 2018 TIFF Fipresci Discovery prize winner Float Like a Butterfly; the critically acclaimed Calm with Horses alongside Barry Keoghan and Niamh Algar; "Cathy Dunne" in the 2023 comedy-drama The Miracle Club, alongside Dame Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates and Laura Linney; and voiceover work in Cartoon Network's Children's & Family Emmy® Award-winning series Unicorn: Warriors Eternal. In theatre, Doupe starred in a production of Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation, directed by Roisin McBrinn, on Dublin's Gate Theatre stage in 2024. Critics praised the show and Hazel's "breakthrough performance."
