Jay Bulger

Jay Bulger is an Emmy nominated writer and director who's acclaimed work includes his first feature, Beware of Mr. Baker. For Beware, Bulger lived with with rock legend, Ginger Baker in South Africa where he had spent the previous decade living in seclusion. The film premiered at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary. For his second feature, Counterpunch, Bulger took his passion for boxing (a former New York Golden Gloves boxer himself ) and set out to capture the state of boxing in America. The film earned Bulger and Netflix an Emmy nomination. For his third feature, Their Heads are Green and Their Hands are Blue, Bulger retraced Paul Bowles' 1959 expedition throughout Morocco in which he set out to record the country's various tribes and their music. The film will be released fall '19.
