Joe Perry is a Canadian actor working in film, television, and theatre. Joe is returning to the Stratford Festival stage for the 2026 season as Biff Loman in "Death of a Salesman" and Jack Worthing in "The Importance of Being Earnest" both playing at the Avon Theatre. After training at Mount Royal University and the University of Alberta he has been working professionally across Canada in both regional and independent theatre, network television and independent film. Joe has stared in films that have enjoyed international premieres from TIFF, Austin Film Festival, and Reykjavik International Film Festival to name a few. Joe is proud to be a part of the Canadian performing arts community and values cultivating powerful and lasting relationships through his work. He approaches his work through the lens of relationship building first. A relationship built from mutual respect and honest communication lays a foundation both for scene work and working relationships off camera. He believes in a clean, simple approach with a focus on nuance and full commitment. These values have allowed him to maneuver successfully through multiple mediums and build lasting relationships with producers that tend to live on beyond the first project. He is most recently known to audiences as Tadeo in the final season of Amazon Prime's political SiFi saga The Expanse, and as Sam in season two of the critically acclaimed Netflix genre thriller Black Summer. Recent film releases include Bodycam with Director Brandon Christensen, and Range Roads produced by North Country Cinema and directed by Kyle Thomas that had it's world premiere at Cinequest San Jose International Film Festival (2021) and played festivals across Canada and the US including the Canadian Film Festival as well as Austin Film Festival.
