Kalent Zaiz

Kalent Zaiz is a Dominican-American actress, writer, director, producer, and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles, California. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she began her professional acting career on stage, training at the TPC (Teatro Popular del Centro de la Cultura), where she graduated with a degree in theater acting and went on to become a company actress - before being selected to join the prestigious Compañía Nacional de Teatro (National Theater Company) of the Dominican Republic, one of the most distinguished theatrical institutions in the Caribbean. This journey built within her a deep base in both classical and contemporary stage performance. Her most notable Latin American television credit is the series Contracorriente (2011), which brought her work to audiences across Central America and the Caribbean. After relocating to the United States, Kalent continued to develop her craft in Los Angeles, studying at the Bill Howey Acting Studio and training under renowned coach Rod Rowland, sharpening her on-screen presence in both English and Spanish. A natural in dramatic and thriller roles, Kalent brings to her characters an intensity and genuineness rooted in years of stage training in both classic and contemporary works and in rich life experience. She is bilingual - performing in both English and Spanish - and is known for her commanding presence and ability to portray complex, powerful Latina women with subtlety and nuance. Beyond acting, Kalent Zaiz is a published author, a certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and a Master Hypnotherapist. Her books include the biographical motivational book YOU CAN DO IT!: Overcome Yourself To Succeed, and Some Truths and Other Perversities - a collection of short scripts and stage pieces available in both English and Spanish editions. She is the founder of KZAIZ Magazine - a print and online publication dedicated to lifestyle, culture, and entertainment - and the creator of her own signature fashion line, Kalent Zaiz Signature, available at kalentzaiz.com.
