Laura G. Baumann was born in Grand Forks, ND, raised in Bloomington, IN, and is of Swedish, Austrian, and Mongolian descent. Laura began ballet and classical piano at age four and trained with Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music ballet program, Boston Ballet, and the Beijing Dance Academy. Having spent part of her childhood in Inner Mongolia and Beijing with maternal relatives, she is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. After earning a finance degree from the Kelley School of Business, Laura worked in Wall Street and corporate finance before returning to the arts as an actress. She is also expanding into producing, with recent credits including the feature film 'Catnip' starring Bruce Dern and Chevy Chase. Drawing on her dance and musical background, Laura performs as a backup vocalist for a rock band, is trained in stage combat, and is an avid traveler who has visited more than 30 countries.
