Lennard Pearce

Leonard had been acting since he was 16 apart from his war service. In 1979 he was rehearsing for the Old Vic in Bristol when he became seriously ill and nearly died. It turned out that he had hypertension causing him to lose his balance and keep falling asleep. It was about 18 months before he was able to work again which he took badly to as he was a workaholic and never took a holiday. He was best known as Grandad in Only Fools and Horses.
