Luke Humphrey

Born in Los Angeles to Canadian parents, Luke Humphrey caught the acting bug early doing youth theatre and school plays before doing his first feature at 16. After high school he moved to NYC to study acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio. While at NYU, Luke was discovered by Broadway director Des McAnuff in a university production of The Winter's Tale. He invited Luke to join the Stratford Festival, casting him in his first professional show, The Tempest, alongside the great Christopher Plummer. Luke quickly established himself as a leading man with roles like D'Artagnan in The Three Musketeers and Shakespeare in Shakespeare in Love at Stratford, and Benjamin Braddock in the Canadian premiere of The Graduate and Spike in the Canadian premiere of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, as well as originating roles in new Canadian works. After his experience on the Canadian horror film Trench 11, Luke decided to focus more on film and television, where he quickly made a name for himself as an actor with depth and presence, winning a Canadian Screen Award for his first leading role playing John Bobbitt in I Was Lorena Bobbitt. His body of work is noted for its range, frequently switching between emotionally damaged bad guys and charming guy next door. When not on set, Luke is training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, chasing after his young son, or biking around Vancouver.
