Mariano Rajoy

Mariano Rajoy Brey is a Spanish politician who served as Prime Minister from 2011 to 2018. A member of the conservative People's Party (PP), he previously held several ministerial roles and was party leader from 2004 to 2018. During his tenure, Rajoy focused on economic recovery following the financial crisis, implementing austerity measures and labor reforms. His government also faced major challenges, including the Catalan independence crisis in 2017. He was removed from office in 2018 after a no-confidence vote.
