Matthew Festle

Matthew Festle is an Emmy-winning sound & Foley editor from Chicago, IL. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a B.A in Cinema Arts + Science (concentration in Sound for Film), Festle moved to LA to work in post-production sound for film and TV. His career began in 2017 as a Foley and sound effects assistant at Virtual Mix in Burbank. He then transitioned to freelance sound design on more independent films in 2018. He now collaborates as a Sound Effects and Foley editor with Sound Rebels Post, with various work on studio animation and reality TV series. Notable animation credits include the Emmy-winning Orion and the Dark, as well as Batman: Caped Crusader, Teen Titans Go!, Blood of Zeus, and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. Beyond animation, Festle has experience in reality TV, contributing sound effects to the Selling Sunset franchise (including The OC, and The City), Temptation Island, and Age of Attraction. As a lifelong indie horror enthusiast, he remains active in the independent film scene both as a sound artist and producer, with credits on titles like Lunch Ladies/Hellarious, Corona Zombies, The Resonator, Isleen Pines, and ShadowMarsh.
