Maya Dunbar

Maya Dunbar started her career in front of the camera, appearing on such hit shows as, Southland, Banshee, Harry's Law and The Mentalist. She has since transitioned into writing, in addition to producing alongside her partner and husband, actor Rockmond Dunbar; under their MyRock Entertainment banner. In 2018, Maya sold an original hour long untitled legal drama to Universal and NBC. She followed that up with another pilot at Universal in 2019. A one hour cop procedural set in New Orleans. That same year, she was staffed as a writer on NBC's freshman series Bluff City Law where she was tasked with writing Episode 109 (Ave Marie) Maya has written for numerous production companies and producers, whether it's bringing their concepts to life or her own.
