Meryl Griffiths

The child of a military father Meryl lived in a lot of places before boarding school, age 10. Perhaps this is why she's drawn to the acting world and the chance to make new 'family' in every bit of work she does. She went to drama school in her '20s but detoured after, running her own business as a presentation skills training consultant. The qualities needed for that role - authority balanced with empathy and warmth - have proved useful in many of her acting roles since returning to the business in later life. More recently she's started writing and collaborating with others to produce her own short films. Her first, 'Teasing the Edge' with Kavisha Films has done well on the festival circuit. Her second, Bruised Fruit, with Found Films UK is about to go into production.
