Michael Johnston

Michael Johnston is an American actor. He stars in Obsession (2025), a Focus Features and Blumhouse production that premiered at TIFF to critical acclaim. The film is slated for worldwide theatrical release on May 15, 2026. Hailing from rural North Carolina, Johnston began his journey to the screen with a teenage passion for voice acting in a DIY home studio before moving to Los Angeles at the age of 18. On television, he is recognized for his breakout role as Corey Bryant in MTV's Teen Wolf (2011). His film credits include Slash (2016) and Endangered Species (2021). On stage, he debuted in Let The Right One In (2023) at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Behind the mic, Johnston voiced the protagonist of The Artful Escape (2021), which won a BAFTA Games Award. He can also be heard in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (2023), Marvel's Avengers (2020), and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (2019). A tenor with a focus on singer-songwriter pop, Johnston plays acoustic guitar and released his debut music video, Michael Johnston: Gravity (2024).
