Natalie Rodriguez is an award-winning director, screenwriter, producer, and author based in Los Angeles, California. She is the founder of Extraordinary Pictures, where she develops character-driven projects across film, television, and digital formats, spanning drama, comedy, horror, thriller, and family storytelling. She has written, directed, and produced two feature films, The Extraordinary Ordinary and Howard Original, both of which screened at film festivals and are distributed through Indie Rights, with availability on platforms including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Roku, Tubi, and YouTube. Her work has been recognized by HollyShorts Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, NALIP Latino Lens, Stage 32, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Table Read My Screenplay (Austin Film Festival). Rodriguez is currently developing multiple projects across feature film, television, and vertical formats. Her slate includes Inner Child, a psychological horror-drama feature she will direct and produce, as well as the expansion of her short film Beyond the Moonlight into a television series. Her recent short, Dumpster Fire, has completed its festival run and is slated for public release in 2026. In addition to her film work, Rodriguez is the creator of the Matty Cat children’s franchise, which includes a series of short films that have screened online and at film festivals, as well as a companion book currently being pitched to literary agents. She is also the author of the award-winning young adult thriller series, Elephant. Her work frequently explores themes of identity, mental health, trauma, and personal growth. Outside of her creative work, she has a background in public relations and digital marketing, with experience in outreach and campaign development, as well as experience working in law firm environments, which informs her understanding of contracts and production operations. Rodriguez has spoken on panels and at industry events hosted by organizations including Google, YouTube, Hispanicize, Los Angeles Comic Con, and Ontario Revolution Comic Con. Her writing has appeared in HuffPost, Thrive Global, NowThis News, and HelloGiggles.
