Nicholas Coombe is a versatile, Australian-born actor who has quickly established himself as a standout talent in both film and television. Coombe is set to star in the upcoming feature "Same Same But Different," premiering at SXSW 2026. In the film, he portrays Nolan, the nervous and aloof "Burning Man bestie" to the groom. As a wedding turns into a chaotic communal affair, Nolan’s preoccupation with his vegan lifestyle and conservationist yogi circle often makes bad situations much worse, allowing Coombe to showcase his signature comedic timing. On the small screen, Coombe is well known for his series regular role as Private Anthony Petrocelli in the CBS/Paramount+ military dramedy "68 Whiskey" (2020), produced by Academy Award winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. He also delivered a compelling performance in the hit series "The Wilds" (2020), portraying Josh Herbert, a talkative and hypochondriacal teenager navigating the perils of being stranded on a mysterious island. Born in Kyneton, Australia and raised in Perth, Coombe’s passion for performing began at age six with training in tap, jazz, and ballet. By nine, he had transitioned to musical theater before eventually moving to Vancouver, Canada to pursue film and television. His break-out film role came in "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" (2019), where he starred as Randy opposite Isabela Merced, Eva Longoria, and Michael Peña. Coombe’s extensive credits also include a series regular role on ABC’s "Imaginary Mary" opposite Jenna Elfman, the Lionsgate/Buzzfeed comedy "1UP," and roles in Open Road’s "Midnight Sun" (2018), ABC’s "Take Two," "Motive," The CW’s "iZombie," SYFY’s "The Magicians," and Netflix’s "Spy Kids: Mission Critical." When he isn’t on set, Coombe is an accomplished musician, performing as the bass player in the band, "AVEY," alongside Avery O’Brien, Aidan Laprete and Jamison Ko. Coombe resides in Vancouver.
