Niek Versteeg is a British actor based between London and Los Angeles, known for his emotionally grounded performances across film, television, and theatre. He trained at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting in LA, graduating in October 2020 under the mentorship of legendary coach Ron Burrus-one of the last links to Adler's original teaching legacy. Niek gained international recognition as Liam Hunter in the hit BBC series Wolfblood (series 1-3). Other TV credits include Waterloo Road and Inspector George Gently, both for the BBC. On film, he has starred in British independent features including Harrigan (as Gary Cole) and Clay (as Geordie Craggs), earning acclaim for his range and authenticity. In 2022, he wrote and performed an original solo play about comedian Tommy Cooper at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, winning Best Actor and receiving a nomination for Best International Show. The show also led to his selection for the prestigious BAFTA US Newcomers Program. This Christmas, Niek brings the production to London's Museum of Comedy-home to the UK's largest Cooper archive-alongside his starring role in the Die Hard Christmas parody show, reprising his turn as John McClane after successful runs in LA and New York. In support of the production, he released the single "I'm John McClane," raising funds and awareness for Aphasia charities in honour of Bruce Willis. Niek is represented by Sarah Davis at Premiere Talent Management (Vancouver) and managed by Chris Prapha and Deanna Russo Clark at Artist International Group (Los Angeles). With a career that spans genres, mediums, and continents, he continues to build bold, original work driven by depth, humour, and heart.
