After graduating on scholarship from the National Theatre of Greece, she built an international career that spanned more than 40 films, working in Rome, Athens, and Paris with directors such as Lucio Fulci, Pantelis Voulgaris, and Nikos Panayotopoulos. On television, she starred alongside Gregory Peck in The Scarlet and the Black (1983). In the 2000s, Karlatos made a remarkable career shift, pursuing higher education in international studies and law. She graduated from the University of Kent with a law degree in 2007 and was admitted to the Bermuda Bar Association in 2010. Dividing her life between the arts and law, Karlatos stands out as a rare figure who successfully bridged two demanding professions on the world stage.
