Om Raut

Om Raut is an Indian writer, director & producer. He was born on 21 December 1981 in Mumbai, India. He is best known for his first movie Lokmanya Ek Yugpurush (2015) which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director. The film starred Subodh Bhave, Chinmay Mandlekar & Priya Bapat in the key roles. Om Raut earlier produced Haunted - 3D (2011) and City of Gold - Mumbai 1982: Ek Ankahee Kahani (2010). Om is working on a magnum opus period-action film titled "Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior". The film will have superstar Ajay Devgn portraying the role of legendary warrior Taanaji Malusare, who was Chhatrapati Shivaji's closest friend, confidant and a Subedar in the Maratha army. The first look poster of the film was released on 20th July 2017. The film is slated to release on 2019.
