Paras Patel

Paras Patel is a rising actor best known for his role as ‘Matthew’ in the critically acclaimed series The Chosen. The series returns for its sixth season November 15th, with all five seasons now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The Chosen has become a global phenomenon, and one of the most-watched shows in the world, with over 300 million viewers as of 2026. The global success of The Chosen has not only earned Paras a devoted fan base but also fueled his passion for advocating for the neurodivergent community. A proud Indian-American, Paras is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and driving meaningful conversations within the industry. Over the past year, Paras has collaborated with KultureCity, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting accessibility and inclusion for individuals with invisible disabilities. His partnership with the organization included supporting their mission at last year's "Chosen Con," helping amplify their message. Looking ahead, Paras is eager to connect with other minority-focused organizations to further advocate for neurodivergent communities. Paras can also currently be seen in The Chosen Adventures, an animated series streaming on Prime Video. Coming up next for he is the unscripted series The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls, slated to premiere this Fall. Paras made his acting debut in the Freeform TV movie Teen Spirit, starring as Raj Kukuri. With over a decade in the industry, he has appeared in notable projects, including ABC’s Nashville and Fresh Off the Boat, Showtime’s Ray Donovan, and the Lionsgate film The DUFF. When he's not working, Paras enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring the outdoors. He also has a passion for cooking, binge-watching reality TV, watching films, especially Bollywood classics, and traveling.
