Pascal Ulli

Pascal says about himself: "I love to create, entertain & motivate. I have a great and deep love for the theater and I passionately love making films." Pascal Ulli has been working as an actor, producer and director since 1993. He has played over 70 film roles and over 30 theater roles, directed 13 plays and produced 3 feature films and 32 plays. The Swiss actor speaks English, German, Swiss and French fluently and is basic in Italian, Spanish, Latin and Russian. Pascal grew up in Bern, Switzerland. After graduating from college he was trained in New York, USA at the renowned HB Studio under the direction of Uta Hagen. There he got in touch with the American art of acting and he decided to devote all his inspiration and energy to Method Acting. In 1996 he won the Cineprix Telecom award at the stars of tomorrow acting festival in Geneva as "best promising European actor" for his work in "Nacht der Gaukler". In 2014 he was nominated for the Swiss Film Prize Quartz for his portrayal of the junkie Ueli in "Der Goalie bin ig". For this role he lost 15 kilos in two months. In 2022, Pascal wins the Best Performance Award at the Desenzano International Film Festival in Italy for his work in "Phlegm". Ulli was the founder and producer of Off Off Bühne (winner of the "lmpulsepreis 1998") and he is the producer of Independent Theateer Produktionen. In Switzerland, Pascal starred in the popular SRF series "Tatort", "Lüthi und Blanc", "Der Bestatter", "Wilder" and "Die Beschatter". In Germany he was part of "Tatort", "Wilde Engel", "Polizeiruf 110" and "Dengler". His most recent works include the international productions "Undercover" (for Netflix), "Das Boot" (for Sky/Hulu) and Shawn Levys "All the light we cannot see" (for Netflix). As a director, Pascal Ulli was invited to the Fringe Festival in New York with his first directorial work "The Basketball Diaries". In his stage adaptation of the famous book, he also played the part of Jim Carroll . The play was sold out on its run on OffOff-Broadway. During the pandemic Pascal wrote the motivational book "Be a dreamer, become an actor/actress". This book is intended to motivate young people who want to go into film business or on a theater stage and shows what it takes to realize the dream of becoming an artist. Pascal Ulli is married to Sibylla Ulli and has two children: Maxim and Manon.
