Patrick Perez Vidauri

Patrick Perez Vidauri is a television editor by day and an independent filmmaker by night. He has worked as producer, writer, director, editor and translator in various phases of his career. Patrick is a local 700 editor working in multi-cam live performance, doc, unscripted and narrative formats. His editing credits include "Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey" and "Lip Sync Battle with LL Cool J" and many seasons of "La Voz", the Spanish version of "The Voice". Patrick's bilingualism has been a hallmark of his career in the industry. In 2007, Patrick worked with Will Ferrell to translate his film Casa De Mi Padre, into Spanish, and served as Ferrell's dialect coach. Patrick's 2008 feature "Lola's Love Shack" about three Latinx boys coming of age in Los Angeles earned a blurb from Mr. Ferrell, who had this to say about it: "Heartfelt and silly. It made me laugh, and I hate laughing." Patrick's sophomore feature "In Other Words" about love across the language barrier was picked up by HBO Max in 2020. It was named Best Comedy at the Sacramento International Film Festival. His next film, "Divorce Bait" was shot during the pandemic of 2020, and was acquired by Samuel Goldwyn after a bidding war with Lionsgate. For this film Patrick received a Best Director award at the Mexican American Film Festival. His fourth feature comedy, "Townhouse Confidential" is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice shot entirely in New York's Greenwich Village. "Say A Little Prayer" is his fifth film, and stars multi-platinum recording star Luis Fonsi (Despacito) in his first feature film. Shot entirely on location in San Antonio, Texas, it bowed in AMC theaters across the nation and enjoys a 99% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It comes to streaming Fall of 2025 Patrick's television producer credits include the Netflix documentary, "The Day I Met El Chapo, The Kate Del Castillo Story," and the Prime Time dramas "Desire", and "Wicked Wicked Ways" on 20th Television. Patrick was born in Los Angeles, CA. He earned his BA in Anthropology from Columbia University in New York. He received his MFA from UCLA Film School. For over a decade he could be heard on the Latinx political satire comedy talk show The Pocho Hour of Power on 90.7 KPFK where he wrote and performed political satire and sketch comedy. Patrick is married to writer/producer Cristina Nava. They live with their three kids in Porter Ranch, California.
