RJ Walker is a multi-hyphenated artist, filmmaker, and performer best known for his standout role as Clark County on FX's Atlanta, opposite Brian Tyree Henry's Paper Boi. He also appeared in Lena Waithe and Halle Berry's Boomerang (BET) as Pastor David Wright, and in Amy Poehler's Wine Country (Netflix) alongside Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Jason Schwartzman. His additional credits include Baskets (FX), Hand of God (Amazon), Castle (ABC), and Major Crimes (TNT). Originally from South Bend, Indiana, RJ began his career as an actor, dancer, and choreographer touring the Midwest and South before building an active career in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. He has trained extensively in LA, NY and the UK, and has a strong background in improv, having studied at The Second City, UCB, iO West, The Groundlings, The PIT New York, and The Nerdist. Most recently, RJ was selected as one of only 10 performers (from over 45,000 submissions) for the Disney Television Discovers: Talent Showcase, presented by ABC Entertainment and Disney Entertainment Television. He's also been featured in GQ Africa, Esquire, VICE Life, Paper Magazine, Complex, Shadow & Act, and The Angie Martinez Show. As a producer, RJ co-produced sold-out comedy shows at UCB Franklin in Los Angeles and created The Great Actors Platform, an exclusive, invite-only showcase connecting actors with top-tier agents, managers, casting directors, and producers. In addition to acting, RJ is constantly developing new ideas and original work-writing, building, and collaborating on projects that excite and challenge him creatively.
