Rachael Ancheril

Rachael is a Canadian screen actress known for her work in dramatic and genre television. She gained attention on Rookie Blue with her portrayal of Marlo Cruz, a police officer living with bipolar disorder. The role marked an early breakthrough and depicted mental health within a network procedural. She is also recognized for her portrayal of Barzan Commander Nhan on Star Trek: Discovery, appearing across Seasons 2 through 4. The character was first introduced aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise under Captain Pike before transferring to the U.S.S. Discovery, where she became the ship’s Security Chief. Her television work includes recurring and guest roles on Chucky and Killjoys, as well as a regular role on Mary Kills People, where she portrayed Lucy Oliviera, a terminally ill patient. She is part of the key cast of Netflix’s holiday romantic action feature Guarding Stars.
