Ricard Balada

Ricard Balada, born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, is a distinguished actor whose career has already garnered him international recognition through projects and awards. Growing up in the serene village of Sta. Mª de Martorelles, with a population of only 800, his passion for theater and film led him to Barcelona, where he launched his professional journey. Balada's diverse filmography includes the Lionsgate comedy-drama The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022), where he shared the screen with Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal, Roads (2019), directed by Sebastian Schipper, The Legacy of the Bones (2019), directed by Fernando González Molina, and Salvación (2016), which premiered at the Sitges International Film Festival. In his latest feature, El Cas Àngelus. La fascinació de Dalí (2024), Balada portrays a young Salvador Dalí. On television, Balada starred as Andrés, a main character in the awarded sex education series Oh My Goig (2017) (2017-2021), captivating audiences for five seasons.
