Rick Watson

Born and raised in rural Hog Branch, Louisiana, Rick grew up playing music and writing songs, plays, and poetry. He received his BA in Creative Writing and Classical Literature from LSU, and then a dual MFA in Playwriting and Poetry from Washington University in St. Louis. His plays have been produced in NYC, Washington DC, St. Louis, Austin, and Baton Rouge. Rick works as a musician and writer based in Austin, Texas, and he also often acts in films and commercials. His most recent film projects are Three Days or Else, a feature to be released Summer 2024, and Towpath, filming Summer 2024. Rick is developing a script, Resurrection Day, for production in early 2025.
