Ron Kahlon

Ron Kahlon is an award-winning Film Director and Writer of Indian origin from Melbourne, Australia. He studied Film Direction from AFTRS (Australian Film Television and Radio School), Sydney, Australia in 2020. His storytelling approach is real and relevant; exploring characters and themes that represent the world we live in to convey meaningful messages. He is known for an unpredictable narrative style where he portrays not so perfect characters and their internal conflict through real-world scenarios. He is drawn to exciting genres such as horror and thriller. His graduate film 'The Seashell' won numerous awards and screened at numerous film festivals globally including USA, Europe, Canada, UK, and Australia. His recent short film 'The Last Surprise' was a semi-finalist at Flicker's Rhode Island International Film Festival (Academy Award Qualifying and BAFTA Qualifying). The film is streaming on Amazon Prime. Ron's short films have streamed on various platforms like Disney Plus Hotstar, Shorts Tv, VDO JAR and Viddsee. More recently, he has completed a placement as an Assistant Director and Script Supervisor on an anthology feature film 'My Melbourne' directed by Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Onir, and Rima Das. The project was funded by VicScreen, Screen Australia and produced by Mind Blowing Films.
