Samantha Walkes

Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Samantha's journey in theater took her across Canada. When the pandemic hit in 2020, she was in Brooklyn, working on Broadway's "The Book of Mormon." With stages struggling to remain open, her passion for storytelling found a new home in TV and film. She is best known for her series regular role as Rose King on "The Kings of Napa" (OWN & Warner Bros), her first major TV credit. She has also played diverse characters in numerous shows, including "Jane" (Apple TV), "Murdoch Mysteries" (CBC), "Good Sam" (CBS), "The Big Cigar" (Apple TV), and "Improbable Valentine" (Apple TV) which premiered in September. In the world of film, she's taken on roles such as Dr. Segar in the prequel "Orphan: First Kill" (Paramount), Heidi Monroe in "The Holiday Switch" (Super Channel), and Zakiyah Carter in "Deadly Estate" (Neshama & MarVista, Tubi). Her most recent work involves the highly anticipated show "Cross" (Amazon/Paramount) based on the James Patterson novels, where she portrays "Elle," a character deeply entwined with Alex Cross.
