Sarah Flannery

Sarah Flannery was born in Walnut Creek, CA. She is the middle child of Henry Kalweit, a financial advisor and writer and Rosemary Travia, a nurse and painter. Her ancestry is Italian (mother) and German/Irish (father). Flannery is her father's mother's maiden name. She was a competitive figure skater for 15 years as well as a competitive gymnast. She graduated from San Ramon High School in Danville and after multiple knee surgeries, put away her skates. She went to UCLA Theatre School and is a part of The Actors Studio in Los Angeles. Though an athlete her whole life, she was always drawn to theatre and music. Her mother would bring her to audition at local repertory theaters in between ice skating and gymnastics practices. She grew up performing in these theaters as well as in the choir. Sarah is also a singer/songwriter and a second degree black belt in Shaolin Kenpo.
