Sharmishtha Raut

Sharmistha started work in small time plays when she was in the 7'h standard. She has also learned professional Bharat Natyam. She was raised in Thane, though she was born in Andheri, Mumbai. Later she shifted to Nashik, due to her dad's business. She has done her B.Com from KTHM College in Nashik and later a MBA from Cummins College. While she was a student, she was associated with AK and Swapnagandha theatre groups. Her most Memorable role was Neerja / Nirja in Mann Udhan Varyache, and then she went on to play major roles in other Television serials. In May 2018, she entered as one of the contestants of the Bigg Boss Marathi show (13' season). Despite becoming a well-known face on Television, Raut prefers theatre as it gives more work satisfaction.
