Simon Bennett

Simon Bennett is arguably one of New Zealand's most successful television director-producers with a long list of award-winning television drama titles over the last 25 years. As of 2019, he has taken over the reins as EP of Hasbro's famed Power Rangers TV series. He is the consummate creative producer. Commencing in 1988 with a theatre career which continues to this day, Simon develops TV series, feature films and theatre properties including a 16-year tenure at South Pacific Pictures, culminating as Head of Drama. Simon's creative repertoire covers family shows, historical drama and documentaries, musicals and New Zealand's longest-running television soap opera, Shortland Street. He is trusted with projects throughout Australasia and US and is based in New Zealand.
