The Girl Who Escaped - Kara Robinson Story garnered 3 Canadian Screen Award wins (Best TV Movie, Best Direction in a TV Movie & Best Actor) and a DGC nomination for Outstanding Direction in a TV Movie. Over 270m TikTok engagements have been tallied to date. Stolen by Their Father which Simone also directed for Lifetime earned two Canadian Screen Award nominations last year. TIFF nominated Simone for comedy short Motown Morning (made at AFI) for Best Short. Sci-fi short Iris screened Cannes, was broadcast on TMN and won awards around the world. Roger Spottiswoode has partnered with Simone to produce her Sci-Fi feature Starlight, for which Simone won the Telefilm New Voices Award.
